GuildChatColor

GCColor has issues with linking quests into guild chat. There's a simple solution. Add the following lines near the end to "restore" the default colors of the quest.

3 ways I could see to easily improve this add-on:
1) Give a revert to default command
2) Give the ability to store a few chosen colors and a simple interface for toggling between them
3) If possible expand it to allow a selected name in chat to show to the user in an alternative color

Other than that I love the add-on. Great job ^_^

I wish it was able to remember 2 colour values to switch between them. Using that I could send announcements to the guildies to make sure that everyone gets it (or atleast increase chance of it)

Wanted to add more to the other message but I hit the button prematurely lol.

Another idea would be to make your addon have a few diff settings.
1. Personal settings so you can change the colors of specific channels/message types/etc. yourself and overrides anyone elses color settings. This would be self viewed only settings and would not affect anyone elses color views.

2. Seeing everyone elses color settings as it is right now.

3. Blocking all color settings other than the default game settings.

I'm having a conflict with the Guildchatcolor addon. I don't know which one is causing what so I'll post this on both of your addon pages.

As many are aware of we have a new mod out there that can change the color of your chat in guild chat. What the problem is now is that the chat scroll mod is seeing the colored text as if it were links like linking items and it won't scroll over the colored text. I hope this is fixable and that this mod is still being worked on since there's not been really any need for any updates for a very long time till now.

P.S. In response to your post on others being angry, I think it's only because there is no way to "stop" the viewing of the other colors so they are pretty much forced to see all the colors.
Maybe a checkbox in your mod to allow you to override it and see the normal font colors if you choose to would help, and then those having problems could use the mod to "stop" the colors as well as those wanting to use it to see them? Just a thought :)

I agree with racvets... it's super annoying.

Can you please make the inverse of this! It's annoying to see 82 different guildies in 82 different colors. I want 1 color green for all guild messages.

Is there a way in game already to override this? It kind of distracts from the game for me in a serious, serious way...

Can this be expanded to allow color in /s /z etc ?

Its basicly using hexcodes to change the color of your words. Just type |H|h|cff[code]|h when your playing ROM in any chat then keep typing after. Google hexcodes for the different color codes.

I suggest not using it in Zone however. See the comments on this addon to know what im talking about.

For the love of all that is holy, please don't do that! It's bad enough now that some people are using horrible colors to "distinguish" themselves in zone/world. If everyone could do that, it'd be a nightmare...
