Guild Castle Farmed Item Immediate Extractor

I have very limted knowledge of lua, but I am not stupid and I can compare words. The functions used are the same, but for some reason this works (People claim, but I have not tested personally) and Erasor's doesn't.

Gotta ununstall it, sorry Erasor. You're not updating and people depend on you, so we have to move on.

Can anybody come up with a concise reason as to why, while not bickering about it? Please?

I just updated AutoExtract. By that you don't have to use this addon if you don't like it.

Thank you very much. I'm not a fan of ripoffs, I swear. I've been faithfully using AE, and saw people were saying it didn't work then found this on the Curse Client list.

If every mod author who had someone encroach on the same area of mod-dom threw a temper tantrum every time.... sigh.

Besides that, this one works, and yours doesn't. I don't see that as copying, I see that as improving on, IF he started with your code, which I don't even see that he did.

The author modified some blank lines, the name of the addon and the naming of the items.

The reason why this addon works and mine doesn't is because I'm not going to develop it any more. If this community works against each other instead of helping each other I won't spend my time with it any more.

By the way: He copied the solution but doesn't know why it works!

I loved AutoExtract, Erasor84. And it sucks if he stole your code.

That said, users like me would REALLY like a new solution. And if you won't support your addon, I am really happy that someone else has a new solution.

I do not think posting a public rant is effective. But if you did reach out to Thorinwittaker, and he ignored you, then I can see why you did it. If that's the case, let us know - here AND on your addin comments.

As someone with principles, I would black list this author's work. I know that wouldn't accomplish much, but heck, maybe others would follow.

Can either author claify WTF is going on, or just resolve it?

From what I can tell, it's direct drop in, with no configuration needed, English only, the whole LUA is only 37 lines, that's my kinda addon, I only speak English and some Spanish cuss words that I'm sure the game doesn't recognize, so....
