MrElchs Danke version 2.0 of MrElch released under the Creative Commons license by-nc-sa 3.0

I thank "p.b. a.k.a. novayuna" and "Noktrin and ZsZso" with their AddOns "pbInfo" and "nBuff" helped me have the whole stuff here quite understand! Parts of their addons are partly unchanged, partly changed in here with my input. From both sides, I get permission, the code snippet to use, and this is now published as a whole. Have fun with this small addon that was created because I am too lazy and too slow'm good time "Thank You" to say ... :-)

The AddOn will simply automatically "Thank you" say, for example by a priest is buffed.

With the command /MED is the menu.

Moreover MrElchs Danke (MED) for the addon manager prepared. Everything else can be read in the english forum or in the german Forum. The folder name must remain so (AAAAAMrElchs) that MED minutes before any fighting addons loaded. Possibly. will be adjusted later times ... but now it remains the first! The English translation is made by Google! So do not be surprised ... ;-)

Moreover, the addon now also on the English client running. Have only just noticed that there has not worked!

Ich danke "p.b. a.k.a. novayuna" und "Noktrin und ZsZso" die mit ihren AddOns "pbInfo" und "nBuff" mir geholfen haben den ganzen Krempel hier einigermaßen zu verstehen! Teile von deren Addons sind teils unverändert, teils verändert in meines hier mit eingeflossen. Von beiden Seiten habe ich Erlaubnis bekommen, die Code-Schnipsel zu verwenden und dieses jetzt als ganzes zu veröffentlichen. Viel Spass mit diesem kleinen Addon, das entstand, weil ich zu Faul und zu träge bin, rechtzeitig "Danke" zu sagen... :-)

Das AddOn soll ganz einfach automatisch "Danke" sagen, wenn man z.B. von einem Priester gebufft wird.

Mit dem Befehl /MED kann man das Menü aufrufen.

Außerdem ist MrElchs Danke (MED) für den Addon Manager vorbereitet. Alles andere kann man im Forum lesen. Der Ordner Name muß so bestehen bleiben (AAAAAMrElchs) damit MED vor irgendwelchen Kampfprotokoll Addons geladen wird. Evtl. wird später das mal angepasst... aber jetzt bleibt das erstmal so! Die Englische Übersetzung ist von Google vorgenommen worden! Also nicht wundern... ;-)

Außerdem sollte jetzt das Addon auch auf dem Englischen Clienten laufen. Habe heute erst festgestellt, das das dort anscheinend gar nicht funktioniert hat!

    Thank you Elch for thw quick fix before, but I've got a request for another again. Lol sorry I'm giving you more work. It's ok though, whenever you can is fine. We all have internet problems ssometimes.

    The mode to pretend I'm not using an addon is still not quite completely working well.

    What happens is thhe following.

    So lets say I have 10 and 5 in the boxes. 5 is how quick my character says thanks, and 10 is how much time in which to ignore any buffs past the first and just say thank for all of them once.

    What happens is that sometimes (Yes, it doesn't always happen), let's say I get Amplified Attack and Grace of Life. My character says thanks once 5 seconds later, then 5 seconds after that (I think both counts start counting at the same time?), another thanks is still said for the second buff, when it's only ever supposed to say thanks once for the whole set. It's working like an actual delay mechamism, and people wonder what I'm saying thanks for when I didn't get buffed again so soon.

    Could you look into why it's doing this and make sure the addon only ever says thanks once for multiple buffs within X seconds (10 default) and not say thanks again after 10 seconds are counted?

    Maybe it's just my imagination that this is happening? I could have sworn it happened though. I got those two buffs in Varanas West and the addon kicked in and said thanks to the person, I kept walking to the daily board and picked up my daily, then out of nowhere suddenly my character said thanks again a little later, and I know I didn't get anybody else buffing me after that person. Seems like it's stil saying thanks for multiple buffs separately, just later, and the 10 seconds is being used like a delay and not an amount of time to ignore multiple buffs past the first and only say thanks once. Again maybe I imagined the second thanks, but please look into this when you have time.

    I've now found the time and I made the addon again. Found I had a bug ... And I hope it also resolved to have. Did my wife together with a time tested ...
    Hope it works better now ... :-) If not, then ask about it, and I look at my problem again, if I have time.
    Version 1.45, I have uploaded, now just need to release still maintained.
    The description of the problem is actually so great! :-)

    Moving on. The reason I'm posting is because I've found a problem. I've recently installed this addon and it's pretty good with 1 buff being casted. I did find a problem with the option to pretend you're not using an addon, though.

    Am I even using this option correctly? Let me just ask and make sure. If you get buffed with more than one buff within x seconds (Default is 10) only speak once for the whole set, probably just use the text from the first, to say thanks for them all. And the second box is how long to wait after being buffed to speak (2 by default), which simulates people's natural time to type a thank you. This is how it's supposed to work, right?

    So anyway assuming I'm using the addon properly, when I choose the option to pretend I'm not using an addon and put 10 and 2, then get buffed with Grace of Life and Amplified attack from the same person, I see the addon counting 10 seconds being printed to my General channel (In fancy blue and German by the way), my character doesn't say thanks as expected, and nothing else happens except extra lines being printed out. With this checked, and only one buff being casted, it seems to work as expected, but please double check that anyway.

    When that option is not checked, I say thanks for each buff (Which of course looks automated and fake-looking), which does work as intended.

    Am I using this addon incorrectly, or is this a bug?

I've tested it briefly, even in English, and it worked. Can a maximum, which is the first-second buff is not completely bug free, but times have you closely.     So, Version 1.4 habe ich hochgeladen, nun muß nur auf die Freigabe noch gewartet werden. Ich habe einen kleinen blöden Fehler gefunden! Eine "2" fehlte an einer Variablen. Ich habe es kurz getestet, auch im Englischen, und es funktionierte. Kann höchstens sein, das es beim ersten bis zweiten Buff nicht ganz fehlerfrei funktioniert, müsste man aber mal genauer beobachten. Wenn noch mehr Fehler gefunden werden, bitte eine Nachricht senden. :-) Viel Spass weiterhin!

    Hello! Actually, this should be here on the page, much in Google's English. And the addon itself should tell what client you use. In any event, it had the times. Currently, I am hardly in the game, because our DSL line barely exists.

    If your description, I have understood correctly (or Google), so it should also work. The "time" issue in the chat window, I have just disabled. Only wait until version 1.37 is now available here.

    Once again I have DSL rational and thus can be properly tested, I am of the problem. Please excuse the wait.

    Huch... habe ich doch eine vergessen... Habe es schnell entfernt. Ich hoffe, ansonsten funktioniert es so, wie es soll? Die Ausgabe des "huuuu" war übrigens nur in Deinem Chat... also, es sah niemand... :-) Also die Version 1.36 muß nur noch Freigeschaltet werden, danach lösche ich die 1.35.


    Oops ... but I forgot ... Have it removed quickly. I hope, otherwise it works as it should? The issue of "huuuu" was only incidentally, in your chat ... So, nobody saw it ... :-) So the Version 1.36 has just released, then do I delete the 1.35.

    Eine Sache jedoch, könnte man die Zeit bis zum ersten mal Danke sagen einstellbar machen? Ansonsten bekommt der Buffer sofort ein 'Danke' und der wundert sich wie schnell man tippen kann ... ;-)

    One thing, is it please possible to make the time adjustable for the first 'thank you' get fired, so the buffer could not get immediately an response, because so fast nobody can type a 'thank you' to the chat. *gg*

Es wird dann der Text, welcher zum letzten Buff gehört nach X Sekunden ausgegeben... Wenn innerhalb der X Sekunden ein Buff erfolgt, wird die wartezeit erneut gestartet. Ist das so gut? Oder doch noch etwas anders?


    So then I build the link in the "I'm no addon mode" one, yes? So for example Wait 2 seconds to thank ... It will be the text which belongs to the last Buff after X seconds spent ... If, within the X Buff seconds, then the waiting started again. Is it good? Or still something else?

    What also would be very grade, that if the script would check for double-buffs. So, if I get a att-buff and a health-buff short after each other, that I only send 1 "THX"-Msg! Like a check if i got a buff from playerX in the last 10sec...

    Ok ... If I understand correctly you want to just say thank you again, even if you get multiple buffs from the same player. If so it generally should be, I think it is quite simple feasible with the next version! So if more than 2 buffs from player X within Y seconds, then only once, "Thank you" say.

    That is exactly what I would like! Because now, when I'm playing as tank and a priest gives me life+att buff I send two Msg. So he could see that I use a addon^^

    Can you tell me more about it? I currently run it without crashes. I voted for myself by trying all possibilities. Is it the only addon, or do you have more? Crashes when loading the game already, or until the start of my addon? If an error message that might, if so, a picture would be helpful.
