ROM AFK Guild

ROM AFK v1.2

Description

This addon will allow you to enter an AFK mode, which will respond to all whispers with an AFK message, and to any guild or party messages that contain you name.

Features

  • Auto Respond to all Whispers with an AFK message
  • Monitor Guild and Party chats for your characters name. If you name appears, a Message will be sent to that channel, stating you are AFK.
  • Also added a Sound effect if your name is mentioned in Guild or Party and you are not AFK. - I Plan to remove this feature and turn it into its own addon in near future

Current Default Messages

  • (ROM AFK) I am going AFK.
  • (ROM AFK) I am back.
  • (Auto Reply) I am currently AFK.

Usage

/afk - to enter/leave afk mode

ToDo

  • add the ability to change the messages via slash commands. ((Whisper, Party, Guild) independently)
  • Add a button that appears when /afk to come back
  • also add /dnd feature

    One of the suggestions I have, don't know if it has been mentioned yet or not, is that you should be able to add things to the list of what it scans for. For example, if you have a nickname or if you're playing with your RL friends you should be able to add your real name to the list because they might use that in party or guild chat.

    Wäre mal schön wenn es auch in Deutsch hier was gibt. Bzw. jemand in deutsch helöfen könnte. Bei mir will das nicht richtig funktionieren es kommt keinerlei Info im Gilden Chat das ich AFK bin oder gehe.

    Would be once beautiful when it also in German here what gives. And/or somebody in German could help. With me that does not want to function correctly it comes no info in the guilds chat that I of AFK am or goes.

    I have installed the add on using the CURSE Client.

    I see when I log in that the add on is loaded.

    I have entered /afk and /AFK in my say chat line but neither one responds to a whisper with an AFK message.

    What might I be doing wrong?

    Thank you for this addon. However, I am having the same exact problem as Vbarbour. I used Curse Client as well and have tried using the command /afk but it does not respond. Please advise. Thanks!

    this project is not dead, working on the customization, AFK/DND, and a big AFK button to remind you that you are away, but being plagued by a addon conflict problem

    I have the same problem that I have seen unaddressed - I have the program installed through curse, but it does nothing. You have not responded to this problem? Please let us know what is wrong. It is installed but it does not respond to /afk - nothing is shown.

    Thanks for this Add-On. Really helps! I would suggest a notification whether I am afk or not. Sometimes I come back to the computer forgettting what my status is. Some kind of notification would be greatly appreciated!!
